I received this today asking for our prayers. Once you read it you will understand why.. I am asking that you please keep this family in your prayers..

Hi, I haven't been online much. My brother had bad headaches for 5 weeks and they found two tumors on his brain. The tumors were removed and one of them was Melonoma. He came home for the hospital yesterday and will have a PET Scan done the first of next week to see if there are any cancer cells left and begin planning his treatment. This cancer is not curable but is treatable. Naturally we are all scared but we have a strong faith in God and know that He is in control and will give us the strength and courage we need. Hi Mike, Thanks so much for your prayers and support. I went to your site and read all the wonderful things posted there. There are so many beautiful Christians praying for people all over this world. Just wanted to give you an update on my brother Melvin (Melanoma Cancer). He went Thursday for a PET Scan. The doctor said there were still some cancer cells present. He also found some spots on his bones. They appear to be malignant but the doctor is puzzled because they do not hurt and are not sore when pressure is applied. He said normally if they are malignant they hurt and that the patient is not so well. But Melvin is healthy and strong and active and it doesn't seem to fit the usual bill. So, he is going to do a bone biopsy to determine if they are malignant or not. The bone biopsy will be done on Wednesday. The bone scan at the hospital showed these spots to be benign. That is what we are claiming. Melvin will begin radiation therapy for two to three weeks on Monday to the brain for the cancer cells left after surgery. I am asking that you continue praying for Melvin. He is so strong and alert. He drove himself today for the first time since surgery. He is a fighter and not giving up. God has answered so many prayers and people all over the world are praying for Melvin. We give God all the praise and the glory and thank Him each day for all He has done for us and for all that he is going to do. I keep all of you in my prayers also. Hugs, Gigi

Sometimes when things get a lil heavy on me , I get told , God dont give you more then you can take . I know at first, its sounds like a big load and it sure is , I'll be praying for Melvin and you, his family and friends , to find the strengh and patience to go thru this valley along with him and keep the faith and hope for a good ending!
