Actually Cancer was a issue in my life befor 2003 as my Mum had instestinal cancer. Lucky it could be removed and cleared.Bless her and my Dad wherever there are now, cause the both become my Guardian Angels !!
Christmas 2003 our Life had to deal with another battle cause my ,at the time 15 yr old daughter Carina .got diagnozed with Agressive Fibromatosies. They thought it could be removed , but during the surgery they saw it was (is ) all over her abdomen area..the main part is on her liver ..If there is a good thing about cancer , then we are lucky in a way..it is not the type which will spread into other areas..its like a wild growing tissues which will kinda push her organs out the way..
Her first kemo was the worse one , she lost her hair and all, went down to 85 lbs and it was a nightmare for almost a yr to get her back on her feet.,but never stopped the tumor growing.and we spend the most time in hospital..( thats when I started to sing , to stop my soul from freezing)
Carina then changed to a treatment with tamoxifen40 tablets twice per day..which stopped the tumor growing for another 1 1/2 year..and then we switched to MTX and Vinblastin..which was a weekly chemo treatment for 3 yrs and now we back on Tamoxifen..so the body can recover from the mtx and the bloodlaps get healthier..
In this whole time we wasn't able to shrink it but stopping it to grow is a big issue so we happy with it for now.and she is doing good and moving on to start on her job training..
Their have been a lot of things I've noticed over the last 5 yrs, especially of family and friends of cancer patient..9 out of 10 times they get pampered round the clock..let them be their self and motovitate them to do thing alone as much as they can and for god sake leave the pitty stuff in the draw, it wont help anybody ;o))
I know their are a lot of sad crying times..times where you lose hope , faith , where you get mad and hate anything or anyone who wants to help during a cancer sickness and its easier to sit back and give up..but hey when you fight ..yeah you can lose , but if you dont bother fighting you have already lost ..dont matter how long this battle will go on..
