What type of cancer are you dealing with?

I had cirvical cancer in 1988. Had a hysterectomy and was cured.
My daughter had cirvical and ovarian cysts that were canceroous. She had them removed in 2005 and they have not returned.
My son age 40 was diagnosed with myolymphoma 10-03. He went through 3 full chemos and 3 half chemos. They did x-rays and all of the hot spots were gone. He was getting his hair back and had put on 36 pounds. Went to see his oncolagist for check up and his blood preasure was low. They sent him straight to the ER at Ceader Sinai Hospital in LA. There he was given fluid. After 4 and a half hours in the ER they had given him 4 large bags of saline. Before we were there 5 hours he had kidney failure and they had him in code blue. They put him in intensive care on dialasus and ventalator. After 12 hours they took him off both and he was functioning normaly. They took more blood and found out he now had a staph infection in his blood. There had not been any in his blood when they first drew blood in the ER. So someplace between the ER and intensive care he got a staph infection in his blood. That finally weakened him even more and they said if they gave him any pain or sleeping medication he might not ever wake up from it. We took him off all his meds so he could make the decision for himself. He said he was tired of fighting and just wanted to be at peace. They gave him what he asked for on the afternoon of April 20 and by 11 am April 21, 2004 he took his last breath. I have found that it doesn't matter weather the cancer takes you or some thing else, when it is your time it is your time. It took me over a year to stop being angry with God and the hospital (I blamed them for killing my son). I now have come to a peacefull understanding with my feelings and can except that God knows best and my son is in a better place. I am 62 years old and if I thought I could stand the stress and all of the emotion it would evoke, I would sue Ceaders ER for killing my son. I know they were at fault, but I also know I would probably die during the hearing. So I will live out the rest of my life praying that no one else has as much bad luck with the Hospital System as we had.
Just a note to those who read this, always remember that God won't give you more than you can handle and he really does know what is best. God Bless you all. Rhonda Hall
