My mother also has breast cancer and as most of you know she lost her left breast this past year.. She is doing great and she is in remission with no signs of it anyplace else.. You prayers for her means so much ..

Hi, My Name is Mike..
Wanted to tell my a lil about my fight with cancer.. I was diagnosed at 43 with prostate cancer. Doctor said i was very young for it but he can fix me right up.. That was in December of 03 i had my first surgery. They removed my prostate 7 lymph node and the nerves on the right side. Was told at that time i was good to go. They got it all.. in 05 i was told it was back and this time at the head of my bladder. we did radiation and chemo because of fears it was in my lymph nodes.. Once again i was told they got it all and i was as good as new.. Late 07 found out it is back again. still on and in my bladder.. It has been a long fight and i am still fighting..
One think i wish i would have known the doctors make it all sound so easy we will go in find it take it out and you will be good as new. They don't tell you about the mental war you have to live with.. I have not told many on line about my fight as a man prostrate cancer is a very difficult thing to live with.. It takes so much away form you that you don't feel like a man at times.. I have had some very bad times with depression. even telling this on here is hard.. I have been told that radiation will not work
They are telling me that if i had "Normal" bladder cancer they could fix it easy.. however mine is a result of the prostate caner having metastasized.. So what they call normal treatment will not work.. so we are on to the next step.. ( Still not sure what they mean by "Normal"

Hi Heather. We all wanted to welcome you home. Seems like you have been in that ole Hospital for every.
We have missed you.. and we pray for you each day. I know last time we spoke you was not sure how your voice was going to work after all of this. Jess and i spoke the other day and we have faith God is taking care of you.
Please keep us updated on how you are feeling when you can. No hurry. we all understand how hard it is to get over surgery at times.

I saw Mary a couple days ago. She looks good. I was shocked when I found out she'd been back in.She said they told her as low as her resistance is she will get everything until she gets back on her feet. Like I said, she looked good.
NASCAR!!!!! Yes, I am hooked. A lady that I work with her nephew is in a pit crew so that gave me someone to root for. Before it was just ----Oh good, he won, no matter who it was. I knew nothing about it. But now.............
This will be the 3rd yr. I have gone with my brother to Kansas to see the race.
Maybe with summer here and you can get out more, even if you can't do a whole lot, it will get better. Fight that depression, there are people out here who care. Sit on your porch and get some sunlight. And watch the NASCAR race on Sunday afternoon!!!!!!!!!!

Well my Dad is doing well. Starting in July he is taking 4 months off of work to go for some treatment. I can't remember if it is chemo or radiation, but the one where you don't lose your hair. He is in good spirits.
His Brother, my Uncle Jerry also has prostate cancer which has spread and he is not doing well. My Dad is very concerned but it is funny how something like this can make those brothers closer.
Tomorrow I go for my interview at the US Consulate and hopefully get my approval so I can move to the USA!
Mike, I hope you are well, and thank you so much for asking about my Dad. You are so remarkable. :o)
