What can I say about myself......let me THINK?
I am very Patriotic!
I'm a US Army Veteran.
I joined the US Army, just out of high school. (18 Years old)
I spent 4 years and 6 months or so in the US Army.
I met and made friends with Elvis Presley in Germany (Hell on Wheels)
I was the 1st cook at that time in the mess hall that Elvis ate in.
Elvis also pulled 'KP' (Kitchen Police) I was the one that told him to take the trash out, and scrub out several trash cans with steel wool. (SOS pads) The trash cans were huge and you had to craw inside of them to clean them. Elvis would say, "OK Cookie!" With a. SMILE. On his face. He was a nice guy and was very easy to get along with...
I raise pet birds such as cockatiels, English budgies, and parrotlets. (tiny parrot with a big personality)
I'm happily married (my wife told me to say this) *grin*
We have 3 grown children and 8 grand children (Two adopted Grandchildren) Makes 10 ...
Our oldest granddaughter is now 24 years old. And the oldest Grandson is 21. The rest range from the age of 19 to lese ...then a year. Our youngest granddaughter was born on the 4th of July 2008. I love my grandchildren and there is always room for more. (We should of had our grand-kids first *SMILE*)
I have the two grand children in collage studying to be nurses.
A grandson in the US Marine Corp.
Learning to get around on this contraption (computer) has really been a challenge. They say it's a stimulating task of problems for Senior Citizens to learn new things.... SO here I' am. Show me the way to spell check. *smile*

My Urology doctor has found a cyst in my right (good) kidney, the same one I'm making kidney stones in now.
Once cysts are observed, further evaluation with contrast-enhanced CT scan is indicated to rule out carcinoma. Contrast-enhanced helical CT scanning has 96% sensitivity and 95% specificity in detecting carcinoma.
The cyst is the steel/gray silver color. My doctor is checking it ever month or two to see if it's getting bigger. I don't want to have this kidney removed because it's my only good one.
Oh.....yes, my name is: Jerry

As of today, I'm kind of handicapped. I get around with a walker or cane on a good day. I have “Meniere’s Disease”. Briefly it’s deafness and dizziness. The sensation of living on a high-speed merry-go-round night and day 24/7.
I'm Hearing impaired. "Legally Deaf" I hear with two hearing aids, and a headphone-set for the hearing impaired. Hopping to get Cochlear Implants someday? It may be just a dream?
I also have a heart conditions that I take medication for.
I try not to let this handicapped get me down, but some days it gets the best of me.
I enjoy reading, as I no longer can hear the TV or radio.
OLD SOLIDERS NEVER DIE THEY JUST FADE AWAY!
